Choosing the right water softener for your home

We currently offer Clack and Fleck style residential water softeners. All of our water softeners are metered, on-demand systems that regenerate based on your actual water usage — ultimately saving you money on salt and water costs. For more detailed information about some of the systems we offer, click on the pictures or links below for detailed descriptions. Call or email us for pricing information. To choose the softener that is right for you, we use the following information:

1. What city do you live in? The hardness of the water will help us to determine the size of the resin bed that will be needed to soften your water.

2. How many people are in your home? Knowing how many people live in your home will help us to determine the approximate water usage so that we can properly size your water softener resin tank.

3. Are you on city water or well water? Some cities, such as Eden Prairie, treat their water more than others and so a smaller softener is OK. Untreated well water, on the other hand, will typically have more hardness and require a larger softener and possibly other filters such as a carbon or iron filter.

4. What are your specific needs? Every home and every customer is different! What we love about Fleck valves is that there are different models to meet different situations. That is why we think it is important to find out what our customers want from their equipment so that we can recommend the water softener that will work best for you and your situation.
